Mmo Mouse

The Best MMO Mouse – Summer 2022

MMO Mouse games like World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Guild Wars 2 have been around for some time, and manufacturers have released dedicated MMO mice designed with these communities in mind.

An MMO mouse is often heavier than their FPS-oriented gaming mouse counterparts, but they also frequently have more comfortable, ergonomic shapes designed for longer play sessions. They also generally have plenty of customizable side buttons, so your custom macros, abilities, item slots, and other useful controls are right at your fingertips.

When shopping for the best MMO mouse, you’ll want to consider the build quality, shape, and size of the mouse as well as how many total inputs it has. You’ll also need to decide how you’d like your mouse to be powered and whether you’d like a wired or wireless model.

Below are our recommendations for the best MMO gaming mice. Check out some of our other picks for the best gaming mice, the best wireless gaming mice, and the best FPS mice

Best Wired Mouse For MMOs

The best wired MMO mouse for gaming we’ve tested is the Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE. It feels very solid and has comfortable side grips and a pinky rest that

can make a big difference during marathon gaming sessions. It has an impressive array of buttons, including a 12-button side panel, which you can slide forwards or backward to better suit your hand size or grip style.

Using Corsair’s iCUE software, you can adjust the set CPI in increments of one for precise control over your sensitivity settings. You can also use the software to remap buttons, customize other sensor controls, and adjust the four independent RGB zones. This mouse also has onboard memory, so you can save your custom settings and use them on computers without the software installed. Performance-wise, it has low click latency to ensure your games feel snappy and responsive. Also, its sensor won’t track unintentional cursor movements if you lift and reposition your mouse, thanks to its low minimum lift-off distance.

Despite the high quality of its cable, it’s relatively stiff and causes some drag on mousepads and desks. Also, because of its size, it isn’t well-suited for small hands using a fingertip grip, while extra-large hands may find it too short to use comfortably with a palm grip.

That said, it’s the best MMO mouse for gaming if you’re a die-hard wired connection fan, and it’s one of the best wired mice we’ve tested.

More Versatile Alternative

If you play a variety of game genres, check out the Razer Naga Trinity. It doesn’t feel as well-built or have a sliding side panel to fit your hand size like on the Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE, but it has three interchangeable

side panels with different button layouts to best suit the game you’re currently playing. It also has more programmable inputs overall. You can reprogram all buttons and assign a HyperShift button to enable a second layer of commands.

It also has even lower click latency and is more than capable of delivering that responsive feeling if, in addition to MMO games, you also play rhythm games, twitch shooters, or any other game where every frame counts. Unfortunately, its companion software isn’t compatible with macOS, and it isn’t suitable for users with small hands due to its bulky body.

If you’re looking for an MMO mouse that feels sturdier and has a side panel you can slide forwards or backward to suit your grip, go with the Corsair, but if you want a versatile mouse with swappable button panels and lower click latency, get the Razer.

Best Wireless MMO Mouse

In the wireless category, the best MMO gaming mouse we’ve tested is the Razer Naga Pro. This extremely versatile option features three swappable side panels with a 2, 6, or 12-button layout, so you can choose the best button layout for whatever game you’re playing. Despite the interchangeable panels, it feels very well-built and has a pinky rest for extra comfort.

You can connect it wirelessly with a dedicated USB receiver, which you can store inside the mouse when not in use. Its click latency is very low, meaning games will feel responsive.

It has three independent RGB lighting zones you can customize using the Razer Synapse 3 software, which also allows you to reprogram buttons and fine-tune sensor settings. The software also lets you set up the mouse’s onboard memory, so you can save your settings and carry them with you to devices without the software installed.

Unfortunately, due to its size, it’s not comfortable if you have small hands. Also, it has a slightly higher lift-off distance than some other MMO offerings, so it’s more likely to track unintended cursor movements if you lift your mouse frequently to reposition it. With that said, it’s a very versatile mouse that works well across a variety of gaming genres.

Best Lightweight MMO Mouse

Best Lightweight MMO Mouse

The best lightweight MMO mouse that we’ve tested is the Razer Naga X. Of course, it isn’t as lightweight as more FPS-focused mice, but It’s much lighter than the majority of dedicated Mmo Mouse mice we’ve tested.

Despite being significantly lighter, it feels just as well-built and comfortable as similar competing MMO mice. Its 12 side buttons are easy to reach for medium or large hands, and it has a finger rest for your ring finger, which is a super comfortable addition that’s fairly rare to see.

It has one RGB zone that lights up through the scroll wheel and side buttons. You can customize this lighting zone with the software to compliment your set-up’s aesthetic. It has high-quality feet for a smooth gliding experience on mousepads or desks.

Also, its high-quality cable is flexible and lightweight, so this is a great option if you’re looking for the reliability of a wired connection but are often disappointed by the quality of stiff rubber cables. Its click latency is also very low, making it great for fast-paced games.

Unfortunately, it isn’t suitable for users with small hands as it’s a bit bulky. It also has a higher lift-off distance than some other Mmo Mouse offerings, so if you have a small mousepad or play with low sensitivity settings and need to lift your mouse to reposition frequently, you may want to consider another option.

Unlike other mice in the Naga lineup, its scroll wheel lacks L/R tilt buttons, which might be a dealbreaker if you like having default horizontal scrolling inputs. All in all, it’s a great option if you’re looking for a lightweight MMO mouse.

Best Budget MMO Mouse

Best Budget MMO Mouse

The best budget MMO gaming mouse we’ve tested is the Logitech G600 MMO Gaming mouse. Like many other dedicated MMO mice, the G600 has a 12-programmable buttons side panel on the left, but its main feature is the third click button under the ring finger that acts as a dedicated G-Shift button to access a second layer of commands.

You can use the Logitech G HUB software to assign custom settings to one of three profiles that you can store on the mouse’s onboard memory. The software is also compatible with both Windows and macOS.

It has impressively low click latency for its price point, so you won’t have to worry about input lag holding you back. The sensor has virtually no variation, and it doesn’t perceptibly undershoot or overshoot the set CPI,

so you can be sure your movements are consistent whether you’re just grinding or taking down an endgame world boss. Also, its low minimum lift-off distance means the sensor won’t track unintentional cursor movements when you reposition your mouse.

Unfortunately, it’s fairly heavy and bulky, so if you have smaller hands, you’ll have difficulty reaching the third click button and some of the side buttons.

It’s also wired-only, and the included braided cable isn’t very flexible and retains kinks from the packaging, which can cause drag. However, if you’re looking for a solid-feeling and high-performing mouse with a budget in mind, this is the best Mmo Mouse gaming mouse that we’ve tested.
