NFL Coach of the Year Lower Odds

The NFL Coach of the Year Award winner has really came out of nowhere the last couple of seasons. Last year, Mike Vrabel of the Tennessee Titans won the award. Some of the favorites to win it this year are Brandon Staley of the Los Angeles Chargers, Josh McDaniels of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Nathaniel Hackett of the Denver Broncos.

There are point spreads out for the upcoming Week 1 of the NFL regular season. Who are some of the lower odd coaches to potentially win the NFL Coach of the Year Award?

John Harbaugh +2500

The Baltimore Ravens were 8-9 last season and finished in fourth place in the AFC North. Baltimore was 8-3 until they lost their last six games of the regular season. The Ravens are primed for a bounce-back season in 2022. John Harbaugh is one of the better head coaches in the NFL.

If they go from worst to first depending on where they finish in the AFC Standings, it is very possible that he could have a chance to win the Coach of the Year Award. When Lamar Jackson is your quarterback, it will help matters big time.

Zac Taylor +2500

The Cincinnati Bengals were the fourth seed in the AFC a season ago and went to the Super Bowl before losing to the Los Angeles Rams. If Cincinnati is even better this season and gets a two or a one seed in the AFC, the Bengals and Zac Taylor could very well be in contention for Coach of the Year Award.

Having Joe Burrow as your quarterback helps out matters. They have a very good receiving core and running back in a loaded AFC conference. The offensive line is one of the best in the NFL now. It was actually one of the worst last year. On the defensive side of the football, they are very underrated middle of the pact defense.

Kliff Kingsbury +2600

The Arizona Cardinals have gotten off to hot starts in the past two seasons, but then they tail off as the season progresses. Arizona has talent to be one of the top seeds in the NFC. If the Cardinals can actually win 12 games this season and win the NFC West, Kliff Kingsbury could be in contention for Coach of the Year Award.

The Cardinals will be without wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for the first six games of the 2022 NFL regular season. There is other talent on this roster. Quarterback Kyler Murray has been very good in Kingsbury’s system, but they need to not tail off in the second half of the regular season though.

Mike Tomlin +3000

The Pittsburgh Steelers under head coach Mike Tomlin have never had a losing season before. They were 9-7-1 last season and Pittsburgh will be fighting for a wild card spot in the AFC this season. Never doubt this man as the head coach of the Steelers because they always find a way to win football games even when you doubt them though.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be in contention for the AFC North title if things fall right for them this season. Pittsburgh finished in second place in the AFC North a season ago and were the seventh seed in the AFC. If rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett or quarterback Mitchell Trubisky leads them to 11 wins and a postseason berth, well will see what kind of respect head coach Mike Tomlin is given.

Mike McCarthy +3500

There is a reason why Mike McCarthy, the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys has this low of odds to be the Coach of the Year. They are not expecting Dallas to be one of the top teams in the NFC this season even if they win the NFC East. The Cowboys will probably be a fourth seed at best in the conference though.
